Water is heated to make steam which pushes cylinders to make wheels turn.
Very simple, low technology and absolutely fascinating.

Wilesco make stationary steam engines, traction engines, steam rollers and marine engines.
These models are available with a range of boiler sizes from 135cm³ to 500cm³, horizontal or vertical, and in single oscillating cylinder, single dual action cylinder or twin cylinder configurations. The stationary engines can power tools (drill presses, forge hammers, saws, dynamos etc) or tinplate toys such as a roundabout or woodcutter.
