We stock balsa wood, spruce strip wood, basswood, thin (down to 0.4mm) plywood, Slater's Plastikard and extruded polystyrene sheets (CFC free).

Basswood is available as strip or sheet. It cuts easily and sands well - a nice material for miniature buildings and furniture.

Our extruded polystyrene foam measures 2.4 to 2.5m x 0.6m. It comes in 25mm, 30mm or 50mm thickness and is CFC free. It can be easily shaped to create scenery for miniature figures, model railways etc. It makes lightweight and rigid baseboards over open framework for model railways. Sandwiched between 3mm ply it's rigid enough to make strong but light self supporting model train baseboards or tabletops for slot cars or miniatures gaming.
