If you have a well used Lima locomotive you'll be interested in these. We remotored a (recently acquired second hand) Lima S class; the loco is now a little quieter but the real improvement is in low speed smoothness and control. Installation is straightforward (screwdriver and soldering iron needed) and should take someone unfamiliar with Lima mechanisms about half an hour if they follow the simple instruction sheet. A gentler introduction to model train mechanics is difficult to imagine. There are two units available: the MLF-20 is for all Australian Diesels and tender-driven British steam locomotives and the MLF-38c for the NSW 38 class and smaller British locomotives. This kit provides an inexpensive way of extending the life of a locomotive, improving its running qualities and a safe introduction to the mechanical side of the hobby. Thoroughly recommended.
